A quick tour of the varieties Tibra offers, what each is known for, and how to choose the right one.
Soft, rich and caramel-like
Medjool is large and soft with a deep caramel flavour, a favourite for gifting and for eating on its own. Sukkary, whose name means "sugary", is golden-brown, tender and very sweet, and Al-Qassim is well known for it.
Dark, tender and traditional
Ajwa from Al-Madinah is dark and soft with a gently sweet taste and a special place in Saudi culture. Khudri is soft and mildly sweet, while Mabroom is long, chewy and elegant.
Chewy and everyday
Sagai is semi-dry and chewy, a popular choice for coffee gatherings. If you can't decide, a mixed box lets you taste several varieties side by side.
